I have heard a lot about people having problems after a 'migation' that powwweb did. I apparantly joined after that was done but it seems to be smoothed out or I haven't encountered the same problems. And how can I beat the price anyway.

Powweb's migration was so frustrating I almost left them but the hassle of transferring the domain and establishing my files on another host seemed like a lot more frustration. The bugs seem to be gone and they always seem to have offers giving you free months of hosting.

Powweb has had their problems and I've had my share of quirks in the past although I don't know if they have changed management or what but I called a few days ago and had one of the more helpful phone support experiences. Read their forums and you will get an idea of any issues they have and what people think.

Pretty good host so far. Seems ok for my low bandwidth need site. Might not be best for busy sites.

Dependable cheap service, but still not very configurable. Support is lacking. Today I tried online chat but no one was there to answer my questions. Eventually I found answers in FAQ's.

My overall experience with Powweb has be pretty good. The migration they have done kind of messed things up a bit for me but things are working now. Downtime seems to be minimal.

Powweb is the best host I have ever hosted with. Their service is excellent and their servers are always up. One of the things I like best about Powweb is their forum. The forum is very active and you can learn a lot from them about hosting and website operation in general.
